Violence is not a normal part of relationships. Teens often mistake violence for a sign of love. This is not the way relationships are supposed to be. Violence is NOT love. Love doesn't hurt! You Can Avoid Dating Violence Be Clear Communicate Be Realistic Develop Positive Skills Take a Time Out Leave for 1 hour. Do something physical like running. Don't drink and drive. After 1 hour, go back and try to talk. If you feel angry again, take another time out. Ask For Help Make Others Aware Violence is NOT a normal way to work out disagreements. These are all forms of violence and can be against the law. |
