Community Education and Trainings
Domestic and sexual violence thrives on silence and misinformation. Community Education is a way to break the silence and come together as a community to help end this secret menace that affects at least one in four women in her lifetime.
Betty Griffin House works closely with legal, educational, medical and law enforcement professionals, developing programs and partnerships to eliminate domestic and sexual violence in St.Johns County
Basic domestic violence trainings are held at Flagler Hospital on the third Tuesday of each month, from 9am to 10am in the Alicia Room. These trainings are geared toward health care professionals, but are useful for general information and are open to the public as well. Free CEUs are available here for nurses as well as mental health counselors and social workers.
